BUMP Feasibility Study

The goal of this study is to confirm the feasibility of a systematic study of the biological interactions across different cells and tissues in the human uterus; and the outline of opportunities to test and expand on novel discoveries that can help prevent the onset of preterm labour.
The BUMP team (King’s College London, Imperial, Newcastle University and Turin University) has successfully established methods for determining how the human uterus in different regions of the maternal-fetal interface prepare for labour. This knowledge will transform our understanding and ability to develop treatments for preventing preterm birth.
The protocols used in this study can be found on the corresponding tab.
